Here is the cover design I did for the book "Pratnja".
There are 16 illustrations in the book. It was decided to make them black and white and fairly simple. They are not detailing how a certain scene happened or how it was depicted by the text. The illustrations were made in a way that they show a certain atmosphere and the emotion behind the certain scene in a more metaphorical way. It was an experimental approach and a first for me and I had a lot of fun working on this.
The end-paper has two versions (one is at the beginning of the book the other is at the end). This was done in order to foreshadow certain events (how they began and ended at the end of the story). The sky and the stars are the big element and a motive in the book so the foreshadowing was done by changing how the night sky looks.
